About the original post, the two different ways the story could play out thing..
Well I agree half and half with both. with the first one, I do think that Rose will go find Dimitri's Grandmother and mother and they will help lead her to him. But I don't think he's still going to be a dhampir, and think about it.. do you HONESTLY think that would ever happen.. It's not likely. But if that DID happen, I would agree with the rest of the time line, as in She becomes Lissa's gardian and Dimitri becomes Adrians, that is actually how I pictured it before the whole Strigoi attack took place..

As for the second one I agree with the fact that neither of them want to kill each other.. More so on his part, but his mind has been corrupted, there's no telling what he'll do. Rose is strong, and if it came down to it, she'd be able to kill him. I don't get what you mean by the whole 'The only problem they have is Rose gets pregent with Dimitri's baby but she doesn't know how because Dimitri shouldn't be able to get Rose pregent. But because Dimitri is a strigoi now she can get pregent with his baby' Are you implying that while Dimitri was Strigoi that they had sex again, I doubt that.. That's even more unbelieveable that Dimitri still being a dhampir. Yes Rose loves him, with every part of her body.. But she would never allow that to happen..... but I guess that's just my opinion..

Oh and btw, Twilight isn't all that bad, yes I have to admit it is really cheesy, but it's kind of.. oh I don't know, refresing that there is one movie about Vampires that doesn't imply that they are all evil and horrible as they are said to be, yes there are some.. but there are some humans that are the same way... but yeah, this was a longer post than I had expected it to be.

hay other vamp acadmey fans i have 2 theroys about what will happen in the 4th book
1 Rose goes to Sibera and finds Dimitri's mother and grandmother. Dimitris grandmother is the only person that can help Rose find him. When she finds Dimitri he's still a dhampir. But why would mason lie to her so Dimitri and Rose are happy to be back togther. But the blond strigoi who took Dimitri wants to kill lissa so Dimitri and Rose kill him. Dimitri resgins as lissa gardien to have his life with Rose. So Rose asks Adrian to requset Dimitri to be his gardian and Adrain says yes because he knows and because he is going to live at the royal court.
2 Dimitri turn strigoi but he won't be able to kill Rose nor Rose won't be able to kill him. Dimitri still loves her even though he's turned. The only problem they have is Rose gets pregent with Dimitri's baby but she doesn't know how because Dimitri shouldn't be able to get Rose pregent. But because Dimitri is a strigoi now she can get pregent with his baby. Once shen has the kid she carn't live without him. She wants to be with him and raise thier baby togther.

Now that I think about it... I don't think any Young Adult romance revolving mainly around vampires could possibly break free from the "Twilight" mould.

Well THAT'S disappointing. The solution? Read ADULT romance revolving mainly around vampires! Yay! ('Though it's definitely not for the faint of heart... or the REALLY young ones... but then again... I was reading adult fiction when I was 10 - it bruised my mind a little, but meh.)

Mmm, bit of a late post, but I reckon Adrian's a great character.

I'm cringing as I type this, but he's also kind of a clichéd charrie, methinks!

He seems to be a complete-and-utter twat. A spoilt brat - perhaps even with a hint of a misogynistic attitude. (Even more cringe-worthily, he's really a bit of an Edward. Ick. *Shudder* But I suppose he's 'better'... urm.. maybe more understanding, in a way...)

BUT. And there is ALWAYS a 'but'. He does have a very "awwww" (ie. sweet) side to him.

OMG HE JUST REMINDED ME OF SOMEONE. *Shock/horror*

Back on track now... ADRIAN. IS. A DARK-CHOCOLATE-COVERED-MARSHMALLOW. All hard and slightly bitter on the outside... but excessively gooey and sugary inside. Ugh. I can't believe I just used that analogy.

Now, sorry to all the Dimitri fans, but I think I'd prefer Rose and Adrian.
I couldn't stand Dimitri doing the whole "forbidden love" thing. Eg. 'I LOVE YOU BELLA!!! BUT WE CAN'T BE TOGETHER. LEAVE ME ALONE. YOU DON'T LOVE ME.'

'BUT I DO, EDWARD! I SO VERY DO! KISS ME!'

'OH NO. I CAN'T RESIST!' *Insert random rush of lovey-dovey "aaaiiie! My soulmate!" thoughts here...

But Adrian and Rose - who actually both act like teens... (ie. D&R seem a bit too much like a father-daughter thing... which makes some form of sense but still screws with my head a little...) are just both... fun and feisty...
Here's another comparison I really don't want to make. It has to do with... *insert music from shower scene in Psycho* NEIGHBOURS. *Triple shudder*.
One day, as I was very, very, awfully bored... I managed to stumble across the story of Zeke and Sunny.

So... there's gotta be a Wikipedia quote I can use...*ahem* "Zeke and Sunny continue to butt heads, but their playful animosity is fuelled by romantic chemistry."
Which is pretty much what's happening between Rose and Adrian - 'cept Rose is a heck of a lot more violent. Darn Dimitri.
They'd make an impossibly cute couple if l'il Miss Mead would just swerve the story around... she has a chance to...

Ah well. I guess we'll have to see what she makes up for Blood Promise... I'm sure it'll be wonderful either way...

(I adored Mason, too. And he got killed off. *Sniff*. Ozera and Adrian currently appear to be the most interesting characters. Who else thinks so?)

I love it when books suck me into their world and everything!

Yeah I wish they'd make a movie about the Vampire Academy series,but the twilight hype will be going on for many years to come!

I loved this one, especially how the sequel really had stuff and important stuff at that as opposed to other *cough* Twilight *cough* vampire books, where it was moon and mope all over again.

I loved the addition of bad boy Adrian. I think he's such a cool character to be annoyed at but love to hate him and I also think he gives Dimitri a run for his money!.

Stupid Twilight. No-one wants to release a Vamp romance thriller film after its commercial success.
