I read Doppelganger for school and though we did end up studying it i found it really enjoyable. It was refreashing and it made you think about a lot of complex things like alternate universes and fate. The things that really do my head in. It was a gritty, fast paced, easy read.

Well Doppelganger is pretty close to me because I wrote it and it took me about ten years. I really wanted to make something that moved fast- that was like a movie you would watch, instead of something that may get handed out in a dull English class. But I didn't want it to just be like a computer game or an episode of '24' either. I wanted to think about whether people were 'born' bad, or whether it all depended on what sort of society you were born in. I wanted to ask all those 'Lord of the Flies' type questions about what would happen to any of us if we got stuck on a desert island together- would we turn into peace loving hippies or murdering monsters? And I wanted a main character you worried about as well. So that's what I wanted, anyway. Let's see what people actually thought....

Hey!
Has anyone had a chance to read Doppelganger?....do you know what Doppelganger means?
I personally really liked this book, it has loads of action and drama and lots of twists in it and look at some serious issues about identity etc...
Would love to know your thoughts...
